A new "Do"!

On Saturday Stratton experienced another "First". He went with Jeff to the barber to get his hair cut. I've been cutting his hair since he had enough to cut, but he decided that it was time to move on to bigger and better things. He thought that it was great because he got to have his hair washed and the girl used "a fire hose" - according to Stratton. He also liked it because he got to eat popcorn, a sucker and a can of Sprite.

Take a look at Mii!

When you first set up your Wii, you have to make people to play the games and they are called Mii. It is a ton of fun to decided on all of the different options like hair, skin color, eyes, noses, mouths, etc. I thought that it would be fun to post our Mii's and see which one you guys liked the best.

Papa+Nana+Ryson= A fun weekend

This past weekend my parents came for a surprise visit and brought my nephew, Ryson, along. It was a quick visit but we packed a lot into it. My mom made cinnamon rolls, cookies, fry bread and the kids all jumped at the chance to help her. We went to see Nim's Island, made a trip to Barnes & Noble, bought a Wii, laughed at each other playing the games, did some shopping and had lots of fun spending time together. Their trips never seem to last long enough. We were glad that Ryson finally decided he was big enough to come along. Stratton loved having a boy to
play around with! I will practice my Wii bowling so maybe, just maybe, this summer I'll be able to beat Ryson!
Stratton and his Nana making some cinnamon rolls...yum!

Hangin' out with Papa.

Boys will be boys? I just wanted one cute picture!

And then they finally cooperated!

Spring Break 2008

For Spring Break this year we decided to ditch the rain in Oregon and go find Spring in California. We were able to spend Easter in Livermore and it was great to be to see old friends and spend time out of the gray of Oregon.
Thanks to the Simmons for letting us crash at their house--we loved it!

Good Times

It had been two and a half years since we moved from Livermore. That means that when we left Stratton was only 14 months old, Presley was 4 and Cascia was in first grade. The kids have changed a lot since we left and it was fun to reconnect with friends and to be able to do and see things that we use to do when we were living there.

Our good friends...the Bills. Stratton, Taylor, Natalie, Cas and Presley.

Eatting at Foster's Freeze!

Roller Skating was fun for the girls, but Stratton got tired of it really fast.

Presley was able to see several of her friends...this one is Abby!

And this one is Jessie!

We LOVE San Francisco!

We had to take a day and spend it in San Francisco. We loved spending time there when we lived in Livermore, so a trip back was a must. We had a lot of fun playing tourist in the city. This first shot is of the kids and with the magnificent Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

We met up with a pirate on Pier 39!

We rode the cable car which was Stratton's very favorite thing to do that day!

The flowers at Pier 39 are always so pretty and this day it was no exception. We even got so see and smell the famous sea lions!

The Monterey Bay Aquarium

If you've never been to the Monterey Bay Aquarium you need to put it on the "TO DO" list. If you've been there--you know why I would say that. It is an amazing aquarium to say the least...plus it is in Monterrey which is just gorgeous. We spent the day with the Cortez family and had a blast! Check out the cute kids...Cas, Randi, Stratton, Shawni, Presley and some strange pirate!

Sacramento Train Museum

We had to make a stop on our way home in Sacramento to visit the train museum. Stratton LOVES trains and we knew that this museum would be a huge hit for him. We were right--he loved it. He would pull us from train to train and couldn't see them fast enough. He loved being able to go inside of the trains and see all of the moving parts. It was fun to go through the museum seeing it through his little eyes!

A little boy in train heaven!
